Why we need funds

The archive has become my life's work and is financed entirely by myself. Funds are needed for:

Hosting the archive website – our window to the world

Purchasing special storage facilities for the recordings and the library collection

Commissioning the transcription of the latest additions to the archive

Purchasing old and new recordings, as not the entire collection has been donated

Over 1,000 CDs and vinyl records still need to be purchased to complete the 782 already in the collection

For future generations

Eight years ago, I embarked on the mission of archiving the cultural heritage of boys' choirs.

A mission to preserve knowledge of a unique and precious cultural heritage: the sound of men and boys singing in the tradition of boys' choirs, from the very first traces in the 8th century, through gramophone recordings in 1902, to the present day.

Please consider making a donation to support the ongoing work of the archive – searching for and preserving these rare and historic recordings, books and choir artefacts. No matter how small or large your donation, it will make a real difference.
